relaxing day at home, playing with more of the xmas presents. dinner at a new Spanish spot by UIC with the girls.

Mira got us up early, excited for presents. played together all morning, and on and off the phone with the family. late afternoon Chinese takeout for an early dinner, bought a ticket to tomorrow’s Rogue One showing, and booked tickets to CO for AJ’s wedding before bed.

late morning trip to the Watertower with Mira to pick up a Santa suit for her bear. ran into Santa again, and grabbed lunch at Harry Caray’s before heading back. in bed early, ready for tomorrow.

holiday from work, which is nice. some early shopping for a last couple of presents and swung by Target for some final weekend necessities. home to make some xmas cookies with the girls.

late morning drive out to the ‘burbs and Mira’s end of year gymnastics performance. was a lot of fun, very cute, and the older girls were definitely impressive. lunch before driving back, then rushed to Olivia’s birthday party in the party room of our building. cold outside…

day in the office, early evening out to Skinner for Mira’s school’s winter performance. fun to watch the different aged classes all perform their songs and dances. sushi for dinner before heading home.

morning class at Mission before the snow starts. early evening trip out to the zoo to see the lights with the girls. turns out Santa was in town, so took the opportunity to snap some pics with Mira. Thai in Lincoln Park before heading home.

early morning start and all day in the office. drove out to Mission end of day for class, then swung by the West Loop Target to buy more lights and a star. back home to finish stringing the lights and decorate the tree with Mira.

ballet in the morning as we got our first snow. out to Mexican with the girls for a very late lunch, then to Target for xmas tree supplies and Home Depot to pick up the tree.

flight to PHL on Monday, drove past the Linc and an Eagles game on my way to Princeton. back home Thursday night, starting to get kinda cold…
