Alexa took the train in from O’Hare during her layover return flight from London. walked to River North for a nice sushi lunch then back home as Cat also stopped by for a visit. great to see both of them. short walk in the park before Cat took Lex back to O’Hare for her flight home.

built my new closet so Mira could get hers back. early afternoon walk across the street in the park to check out the tanuki, and take lots of photos. grabbed a spot on the roof of Tavern on the Park for some food before heading home.

afternoon in the park, fun time hanging out in the shade. drove out to Ikea to pick up some more projects for home.

working from home today. quick stop to see Mira’s doctor during the afternoon – weighing in well over 10 lbs now…

home late, but home nonetheless. new summer hats for Mira, Лена’s crochet work is getting more and more impressive.

another day like all of the others. dinner with Henk at some wine bar – is cool having a client right downtown.

lazy morning, made Лена a late breakfast then bundled up for another cold walk to the Water Tower. stopped at Rosebud for dinner in Gold Coast before walking back. late errands before my Monday flight out.

hung and wired the new light in our entry – fancy. looking forward to finishing the bedroom fan.

working from home – late walk and again another cold night. dinner on the corner at Bennigan’s and got to watch some of the basketball game.

early visit to the Disney Store, then poked around home for some time before making our way out to the ‘burbs for Aroo’s 6th year birthday party. good to see the same old crew, and was Mira’s first time meeting others and being passed person to person.
