busy day, but still peacefully working from home. took the leopard for a cold walk in the park before the sun went down for some great urban wildlife photos. Halloween at Kit Kat for a crazy night of voyeurism and debauchery.

early appointment at the baby doc – and proud to say we’ll soon be having a baby girl. now to figure out her name… 🙂

slept in then wired up the last of the office lighting during the afternoon. dropped by Tarun’s around midnight for his birthday / Halloween party which was a wickedly good time. yup, both of us were goth.

put together the crib and changing table today. yeah, probably a bit over prepared, but that’s better than the other extreme.

Etian came by yesterday – hadn’t seen him since last year’s alumni game. fun time – hung out at the apartment, walked down Wabash for some sushi, and finally the 3 of us took a stroll in the park before he was off. today started with another walk through Millennium Park to enjoy the warm day and the fall colors. finished up with some adventures on State Street – south for some tiramisu then back to our neck of the woods for a little shopping…

quick stop at the family cemetery before Alexa and Kyle hit the road. said our goodbyes, then they were off and on their way back to Buffalo. good to see you guys, you’re welcome any time…

got up and watched Felix’s record breaking jump from start to finish. made some omelettes, and enjoyed a slow day in the apartment before finally taxiing through the rain over to the Water Tower to kill a couple of hours. back to the apartment, then over to Artopolis for coffee and terrible saganaki.

rainy day, walked down State Street for deep dish pizza at a restaurant Kyle picked. back home, played some cards, and had a few drinks. quick sushi dinner then drove out to Wicker Park for an interesting burlesque adaptation of Lord of the Rings. good time, but once was definitely enough.

2 of them rolled in a little before midnight, spent the night sitting around the kitchen. stayed up late, no plans for the weekend – great to have family around for a few days.

another doctor appointment today, but disappointed no ultrasound. looks like we’ll have to wait until the end of the month for our next peek.
