drove out to the DZ early with Лена. watched the first load land and knew i wouldn’t be jumping – was super windy and 2 guys landed off. so we drove all of the way back home… frustrating. spent the day helping Лена put together a video for qualification in an August dance competition. met up with Joe at Sable for some late drinks and food.

got to Chicago a little early on Friday and taxied home through zero traffic due to the upcoming NATO meeting craziness. dinner at Zapatista then unfortunately caught the late showing of The Dictator, which was crap. early out to the DZ to get a reserve repack, but didn’t do any jumps as the afternoon wait was too long. picked up Лена from yoga and did some more shopping, picking up more things before our trip including iPad #2. traffic in the city was still refreshingly nonexistent. watched an early evening protest on the park – impressive show of police presence everywhere i turn…

last week in Boston, and didn’t fly out until Monday night this week. joined a cross-team dinner with a couple of Brian’s other local projects. good grub, and multiple bottles of tasty Italian red wines.

the first envelope i opened when i got home, these 4 showed up on Monday by registered mail. got lucky with the draw, should be an interesting match. little more than a month until the game, and less than 3 weeks until we leave.

reasonable day at work, then drove downtown and met up with Ryan and Sandip at a seafood restaurant – supposedly the oldest one in America… had some tasty oysters, clams, mussels, and finally a 2 lb lobster. yummy!

early morning start for both of us – taking a CPR course for Лена’s next level of yoga certification. was good to receive the refresher. poked around most of the day, then tried to grab Mexican for dinner at a South Loop spot, but it seemed the rest of the city was too. crossed the street for Italian instead, then hurried to the theater for a late showing of The Hunger Games. recommended, we both enjoyed it.

had some of the family over for drinks. great fun, hopefully do it again during the summer up on the rooftop deck. somehow managed to not take any pictures all night… 🙁

busy day working from home, then swung by the Clark St. office for the second time in two weeks. back home then headed up Wabash and stopped by a few stores along Jewelers’ Row with Лена, but didn’t end up finding what we were looking for. ran some more errands around town, dinner around the corner, and finally watched a couple of videos before bed.

in the Accenture office to do a little recruiting. first time back since i started in September…

dropped by the house in Oak Park for a little Easter celebration. nice to see the family, always too long between visits.
