lazy morning, afternoon walk into River North with Лена to find a traditional Thanksgiving meal. ended up at Maggiano’s after bailing on 2 other places along the way. huge meal and quite tasty, went home with leftovers that will literally last for days. taxied home to avoid a big rain, and ended up taking the inevitable post Thanksgiving meal nap. rallied late and decided to check out some of the Black Friday midnight sales on State Street. strange experience, didn’t seem to be worth the effort, but at least now i can say i’ve done it…

up early and back to the office to prepare for Orals with the team. walked a few blocks to the office, and was done a couple of hours later. not feeling too well from yesterday’s lunch… taxied to the airport for my flight home which was delayed. found the Delta lounge and ran into Joe in the elevator going up. finally on my flight and back to Chicago 4 painful hours later.

few hours of sleep, up super early for my west coast flight. got to SFO a little after 11 am, taxied downtown to the Hilton, and again went across the street for the buffet at Naan-n-Curry. walked to the office and spent the next 5 hours or so perfecting the slide deck for tomorrow. back to the hotel, watched football and put the finishing touches on the presentation. short walk around Union Square before bed.

ended up working from the hotel all morning instead of again meeting with the team to prep. more crazy booking and rebooking both for next week’s travel as well as today’s flight back to Chicago. 4+ hour flight home, and not looking forward to doing it all again next week. hopefully, the big presentation will happen this time…

early into the Mission Street office to work on the deck for “tomorrow’s” meeting. but, instead got confirmation that the Thursday Orals are pushed to next week, and i need to come back. booked, canceled, and rebooked my travel numerous times during the day as the schedule kept shifting. late dinner at the House of Nanking then walked back for some much needed sleep.

up early for my flight that ended up being delayed. got sorted on other flights and arrived into SFO mid-afternoon. drove downtown and checked into the Hilton and gorged across the street at Naan-n-Curry. met up with Chad and walked around the city for a while before taking the train into his part of town. sushi dinner then hung out at his pad for a bit. train back to my hotel and to bed.

afternoon walk to the lake, fountain, and finally the Agora sculpture with Лена on a bitterly cold day. early evening prep call with work before tomorrow morning’s trip. late swim in the pool then eventually to bed for a few hours sleep.

did some more painting around the apartment, finishing up the bedroom window frame, but still a little more to go… unseasonably warm day, so took a long walk through Gold Coast, with dinner at the Tavern on Rush.

took a midday walk to the DMV at Thompson Center with Ленa, who passed her written exam on the first try. out running errands late and picked up our new nightstands that we had ordered the week prior. swung by Artopolis for a quick bite before heading home.

busy day, but still peacefully working from home. took the leopard for a cold walk in the park before the sun went down for some great urban wildlife photos. Halloween at Kit Kat for a crazy night of voyeurism and debauchery.
