happy trails

took the day off and spent it at home taking care of Mira. Nazar came by late with his friend Alexi – sorry to see him leaving Chicago, but wish him well finding his future.

July 4th

drove out to Oak Park to spend time with some of the fam at Vicky’s. walked around the neighborhood a bit and showed Лена the Frank Lloyd Wright home and studio. disappointing show of the RW&B, as we were in the vast minority today.

day watching the consolation and final games of the Confederations Cup. Brazil will be hard to beat next summer… late walk in the park without the stroller.

took Mira upstairs to the roof pool for a family swim. loves the water, hopefully we can get her some swimming lessons soon.

got our 2 24″x36″ canvas photo prints in the mail – now time to hang them on the wall. working from home today and tomorrow, more time at home the better.

cleaned up our mess in time for guests. good time, barbecue on the roof, then spent a few hours chit chatting. late walk through the park.
