home on Tuesday night this week. short drive during the day to drop off the girls at the zoo. busy, busy…

Neha’s baby shower on Saturday – hot day, didn’t end up staying long. spent hours putting together my dresser Saturday night, and finally moved my clothes out from Mira’s room on Sunday. Sunday night late shopping, dinner at the sushi restaurant near UIC.

finished the tile install, but still need to grout everything. Лена calls them cockroaches. dinner in River North at our new favorite Mexican place.

Lollapalooza this weekend, so no walks in the park. day spent installing the backsplash from hell, dinner back at Petterino’s.

first run to Ikea in a long time. Mira is very much trying to crawl and stand these days, big changes afoot.

late walk in the park, won’t be able to do this next weekend due to Lolapalooza. enjoying family time.

drove out to a tile store and Home Depot to check out options for the kitchen backsplash and island. ended up buying some cool freeform black glass ones instead that i found online. now i’ll have to wait for them to arrive and install them prior to our September guests. lunch at some random sushi restaurant near the tile store.

took Mira to the pediatrician late afternoon for her 4 month check up. all’s well, weighs 13 lbs 1 oz, and right on track per the doctor’s growth chart.

touched up the paint around the new kitchen pendants, looking good. dinner at Petterino’s for a change of pace.

took a long midday walk to Navy Pier. a while spent hanging out by the water then grabbed dinner on the top level at a Mexican place. long walk home after some good photography of the city at dusk. Mira has figured out how to roll over and is now spendy lots of time on her tummy.
