work event at Triumph Brewing Company for drinks then went to the haunted house at Eastern State Penitentiary. fun time, impressive prison…

days are getting colder and shorter… long walk around town with the girls, eventually ended up downstairs for dinner.

late morning short drive to Pulaski Park for a mommy/baby Halloween event. lots of cute kids, good opportunity for Mira to socialize. showed up 20 minutes before the costume contest, and still managed to score third place. back home, afternoon walk over to Daley Plaza and found another Halloween event. stopped at a new sushi restaurant before heading home.

dropped the girls for an afternoon yoga and baby massage class in Logan Square. stopped at Revolution Brewing before heading back home.

uneventful day, spent most of it inside playing with Mira. crawling anywhere and everywhere these days, although she’s still mastering her form.

interviewed a babysitter on Saturday, and more walks in the park on Sunday. picked up some new shoes from Macy’s…

uneventful weekend, but great getting out in the park to enjoy the change in the weather. Mira’s crawling is getting better each day.

busy day prepping for orals next week. picked up these cute little horns for Mira at the Gap. looking forward to Halloween. 🙂

early drive to O’Hare. got everyone checked in, myself included, and Лена taxied home with Mira. flew to New York with the parents to ensure they’d make their connection, but landed in JFK late, as their flight to Moscow was leaving. scrambled to change them to the only other option on Aeroflot, then got myself on the next direct flight home. finally back, things sure feel more quiet at home. will miss them.

wrapped up work a little early and took a nice walk to the lake and around the park so the parents could say their goodbyes to the city. bar-b-que up on the roof which was great, we really should spend more time up there. parents packed their bags…
