Mira awakened during the night very sick and got worse in the morning, so brought her by the emergency room as i didn’t want to take any chances. got her rehydrated – turned out to be the same stomach flu mama had a few days prior.

afternoon across the street in the new park and playground with the girls. very happy with the construction of the playground, eager to spend some time on the climbing walls in the spring.

MLK weekend
Saturday walked over to the new Maggie Daley park with the girls after POW! – very impressive. still a lot of snow on the ground, so unable to enjoy the playground fully with Mira, but am positive this will become a summer highlight for her. finalized our bookings for May. Sunday watched some football, then dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. holiday on Monday… 🙂

bowling
morning at POW! – including weigh-in, day spent watching playoff football. taxied up to the bowling alley behind Marina City for some cold weather indoor fun. been a while, but started to come together towards the end. Mira’s realistically still a couple of years away from being able to do herself. low-key night.

skating
picked up Alexa late Thursday night for a weekend visit. off and on calls most of the day, but managed a quick skate across the street at the rink with all of the girls, including Mira’s first time on skates. definitely will need to get Mira skating by the end of the winter. not feeling so great, so skipped dinner – shame, as was my last opportunity for a proper meal for at least the next 2 months.
