first competition of the year – state qualifications for rhythmic, specifically for the L5 group routine. thankfully, were able to do it remote from the gym. ended up 2nd place for their level and age group, and more importantly qualified for the individual competitions in the spring.
late afternoon dinner at Maggiano’s, which is our yearly tradition. enjoyed ourselves, and brought home loads of leftovers, as always.
leisurely Sunday, and an early evening walk to take Mira for her first dose, along with my booster. celebratory frappuccino and snowman cookie afterwards.
call out of the blue from Dave, which is beyond awesome. met up for bfast at Yolk, strolled past the Chicago Theatre, and finally back to his hotel to met up with his friends. love it when friends visit Chicago.
weekend bfast in the neighborhood. last of the fall colors, which means no more leaves for many months.
hanging out at our new favorite playground before breakfast. still sunny and warm, no complaints.
not too cold this year, which is great for trick-or-treating. 3 of us looped around the neighborhood, and called it a night once the candy bag got too heavy. hit a new spot for bar-b-que before heading home.
dressed up for school, i think as a puppy? gymnastics after school and chill night at home.

drove out to the orchard for our annual apple picking adventure. great time, and a bit unusual to be part of a crowd again.
