crazy busy week… picked up Mira end of day, poked around a few stores on State Street, and eventually grabbed dinner at Exchequer. ran into Лена on the way out, back home and in bed at a decent hour for a change.

Mission on Saturday, found i’ll be able to start taking Mira next week for class – she’s excited! early dinner at Lux with the girls, have missed their beignets. Sunday morning ballet, brunch with the girls at Yolk.

just Mira and i flying solo most of the day. afternoon ride to lunch and a playground, found a tasty new Mexican spot.

busy day, but home a little early. jumped in a taxi and rode through some bad traffic with Лена – and my surprise was a date at iFly. had a lot of fun, was Лена’s first time in the tunnel… short walk for some Mexican food before heading home.

red eye flight coming back from LAX. home, showered, changed, and back to the office – crazy… relaxing afternoon and evening at home, and a good night’s sleep.

up early for our flight home. uneventful, back into ORD around noon, and caught an Uber home. late brunch at Meli then the rest of the day spent recuperating.

early game and a convincing win. back into town for a quick bite with the fam, then back to the fields for our noon semifinal. unfortunately a bad loss, gave up a number of uncharacteristically soft goals. but, the silver lining – now i can enjoy the rest of the day with the team and stop torturing my body. drinks at Green Man Brewery and a great time catching up. walked to the stadium to watch the final, won by the team that beat us… i guess 3rd isn’t bad considering the circumstances and utter lack of preparation. said my goodbyes to a number of folks, then eventually ended up at another brewery for dinner with Brian and his wife. back to the apartment late and immediately in bed.

met up with Jeff, his family and his parents, plus Al and his parents for breakfast around the corner. off to the fields late morning, and started meeting up with the entire gang. awesome to see everyone… changed into our good looking kits and dominated for our first win. happy to see Teelko show up for the game too. lunch at Riad’s house then back for our second game, another win. back into the city to shower and a quick dinner, then returned to the fields late for our first elimination game under the lights. unnecessarily tight win, but moving on to tomorrow’s quarter finals. out late with Jeff and Al to catch a little live dub at the Mojo Lounge. exhausting day, and already feeling a number of nagging, and hopefully minor injuries.

day off from work. early afternoon flight to Asheville to play in the largest adult soccer tournament with my team from childhood, in honor of our late coach. 25+ years since we’ve played together or even seen each other… landed in Asheville, rented a car and drove downtown to our apartment for the next few nights. met up with Riad and family and Brian and family for dinner at some outdoor brewery.

another busy day in the office, but made it home for lunch. Лена met up with Катя in the afternoon and took a bunch of good photos of Mira playing. back home in time to take Mira to gymnastics, and grabbed dinner from Kroll’s.
