yay holidays! took Mira to Navy Pier and rode the ferris wheel, the carousel, and Mira rode some other ride solo. fun time, weather is great – sunny and cool. lunch at some meh Mexican restaurant before heading home. evening Muay Thai at Mission.

morning at Mission, then took Mira across the street to watch some of the parade on State. popped into Beef & Brandy for lunch, which is kind of becoming a weekend ritual. evening trip to Dave & Buster’s for some games and food.

morning appointment with Лена at the USCIS office. back home and in the office. end of day over to Skinner for Mira’s school performances. all were very cute, was a lot of fun.

up early, met up for bfast with the fam for the final time. was fun, hopefully will see them all again soon. back to the hotel to pack up and check out. made the long drive back to DEN, returned the truck and dropped off our luggage. quick bite, then on to our flight into Midway. Лена wasn’t feeling so well, and it took forever for the luggage to turn up. in a taxi and finally home…

up before the others, so eventually tackled the shoveling and freeing the truck. another couple feet of snow, but again managed to break free to the street. girls were up, got packed and loaded, and we said our goodbyes to the house. into town for coffee and a new spot for bfast. tried entering the Park, but denied due to the snow. stopped at the visitor center for the usual knick-knacks, then started the drive down the hill and back to FOCO. long drive, ending with us back in the same hotel. met up with the fam at Summit for some food and video games. off again for an escape room adventure then i had prebooked. was a lot of fun, although a shamefully poor performance by the group. quick stop at the hotel, then over to the Keller’s place for a game of Pictionary. silly time, back to the hotel late, and finally to bed.

slept in – as much as i’m able, and awakened to 2 feet of snow outside. eventually out to clean the truck and attempt to clear the driveway using 4×4. late morning bfast back at the same spot, and we’re one of the few vechicles out on the road. back to the house and a relaxing soak in the hot tub with Mira. back into town later to get coffee and use the cafe wifi. late afternoon early dinner with the girls at a Mexican spot. was hoping to get into RMNP today, but not possible due to the snow. upside of all the snow is that it seems there are elk everywhere.

up early to take Mira to rehersal at the beautiful Della Terra Resort. met the fam for bfast, then back to the house to relax a bit before the long day. back to the resort with the girls for Mira’s flower girl preparations. quickly back to the house for us to get ready, then again to the resort. weather held and the ceremony was magical. pics, drinks, and eventually dinner, before an evening filled with dancing. the storm started to roll in during the reception, and we left in a heavy rain that was quickly turning to snow.

bfast across the street, then spent a long time packing up the truck before finally making our way toward Estes. turns out the shortest route was closed, so had to cut through some pretty ranches to get to the main highway. finally arrived, such gorgeous scenery. found our little house on the river, which was great. headed into town and joined the extended wedding party for a nice dinner. in bed a little early for a change.

finished off all of the leftovers in the fridge for breakfast. over to the nearby Macy’s for a little shopping, Starbucks, then a short drive to the playground at Spring Canyon for Mira to climb and play. end of day made the beautiful drive out to Mark’s. hung out for a bit, then back into town, stopping at Red Lobster on the way back for dinner.

up early to pick up some roses for Лена with Mira. quick bfast in the hotel, before heading to AJ’s for a proper brunch that no one was hungry enough to eat. Mira had a ton of fun playing with all the boys, especially liking the trampoline. off to a nearby river to play in the water with a few of the boys. good time, then back into town for some Mexican food. dropped back by AJ’s, and some more trampoline time. back to the hotel and in bed early as everyone was tired.
