finished the Murphy bed today… has been quite the process. looks great, and is super strong, so am pretty pleased with how it turned out. and just in time as the in-laws are coming to town on Sunday.

gymnastics in the morning, then off to Lincoln Park for Лена’s ballet class with the girls in their new space. watched the end of the main card down the street at Starbucks during class.

last day of the strike – fortunately. Jeff and Elizabeth in town, and met up with Lizzie at the Art Institute for a little culture. poked around the park and enjoyed the first snow. back home and got ready for some cold trick or treating. Mira had a ton of fun and ended up with so much candy.

classes in the morning, then off for some trick-or-treating at the businesses on Madison. too bad it was cold and rainy…

made the most of the first day of the school strike, and drove west to an orchard for the day. fun time picking apples, playing in the pumpkins, and bouncing until exhaustion. stopped for Mexican in Dekalb before the long drive home.

Saturday routine – gymnastics in the morning and ballet in the afternoon. went grocery shopping with Mira for our new Saturday activity of making dinner together, and was a tasty success. watched the fights before bed.

typical Wednesday routine, although i feel horrendous. Mira finally lost her first tooth during gymnastics – hooray!

after school and over to gymnastics. picked up Лена after her last class then a few errands on the way home. also lucky enough to get food poisoning with dinner…

typical Saturday… took Mira to gymnastics in the morning for 2.5 hours, ballet for an hour in the afternoon, then home to relax. watched the fights before bed.

morning ballet, back home and off again for a birthday party at Windy City Ninjas. fun time, would have loved something like that when i was a kid…
