Mike picked me up early and drove us the 4 hours out to the Ogden DZ. closed – too windy. ate a little food then turned around and started the long drive back. got arbitrarily pulled over and severely harassed by an Idaho cop during the drive. then we finally get south of town and the Snake River Canyon is closed due to a mud slide. one of those days…
first day not either raining or snowing since i’ve been back. night spent catching up at the ‘Coach.
early flight back, arrived in Jackson to a light rain. still lots of snow around, but fortunately the driveway was clear. been too long…
last days with EDL – no worries, looking forward to some extended time off before starting up again. celebrated with my first afternoon in the ring at POW!
yet another rainy Saturday, so another day not jumping. morning Muay Thai, and aspirations of doing my taxes in the afternoon. but ended up watching the Barca – Real game at Rossi’s instead… got this 10+ year old picture of Omen today from Michelle. miss you Omen, and you too Lucille.
dentist in the morning for a cleaning. bunch of cool technologies here that i don’t get at home, including a 3D digital x-ray machine. i think i’ll make a sexy skeleton some day. 🙂
finally a day off from the gym to heal my brusies. dinner at Dhylan’s, and was Ross’ last night in town. few of us decided to head down the street for some late night entertainment, but it was pretty tame.
only got a single jump in as the conditions were too windy, especially for my large canopy. did a 4-way that was a bit of a mess, then under canopy got pushed by the wind further and further away from the DZ. managed to land in a corn field and figured i was better off done for the day.
met up with the gang for a night of dancing at the NV Penthouse Lounge. Fun night and i was working my Bhangra magic, but as the night wound down it seems there was a bit of an altercation, and yada yada yada, i got thrown out. 🙂 decided to head back to the apartment instead of watching the cricket World Cup final afterwards at Tarun’s.
drove out to the DZ only to find everything shut down due to the weather. poked around downtown Ottawa then circled back to the DZ hoping for better luck, but was again stymied.
